The PC Pilots Ireland
was started in 1993 by two friends, Terry McGee and Ian Broni, who wanted
to share their interest in Flight Simulation. Membership is open to non-combat
Flight Sim users - most of us use MS Flight Simulator. Although
based in Dublin, Ireland, membership is open to anyone. To date we have
members in the UK, Mainland Europe, USA and Canada.
The main feature is our quarterly magazine 'PC Flight', which is
published in June, September, December and March and is available to members
only. The magazine covers various aspects of Flight Simulation, including
product reviews, plus a hint of real aviation news. All articles and reviews
are contributed voluntarily by our members. We are supported by the majority
of Flight Simulator publishers, who us send their product for review.
We also meet twice a year for a get-together (we call it our 'Fly-In')
in April and October in a Hotel at Dublin Airport for a day of fun and
flying. Some of our UK members fly over for the day to meet their fellow
members and make new friends. Members are added to our eGroup, where they
can post questions on Flight Sim/PC problems etc. and get help from each
other.
Our website www.pcpilotsireland.com
features Irish airports scenery and Irish aircraft for use on MS Flight
Simulator.
